Beach Summer Holiday in Denpasar-Bali in June 2011 ~ Section 2

Welcome to the second section of my summer beach vacation in Denpasar, Bali, Indonesia in June 2011. This section will mainly explain our days at Bandar Seminyak Kuta, the Safari Parks in Bali and our wild time on the Dune Buggy in the Balinese countryside.

Part 1 ~ An Evening in Bandar Seminyak Kuta

The next morning, which was Friday (17 June), we woke at around 9 o' clock. For the very first time, I saw the appearance of our very own private swimming pool in the clear daylight. Feeling hungry, we went to the main hut to order in-room dining for breakfast. While waiting for breakfast to arrive at our villa, we walked around the villa and I took some pictures of our pool.

After exploring our villa while waiting, our breakfasts were finally delivered to us at 10 o' clock. We then went into the dining area in the main hut and had a refreshing breakfast. Since
it was a rest day for us on this day, we simply had the time of our lives for the rest of the afternoon.

The clean-up service also came to clean up our huts at one point. We were relieved as we had purchased some food and beverages to cook from a convenience store in Bali shortly after we arrived the previous day. I even had a Japanese language lesson with my valued tutor, Miss Yuko Yasuda.

At around 5.15 p.m., we decided to go out towards Bandar Seminyak in Kuta, a popular Balinese beach for tourists. With that, we went to the main villa to arrange for a buggy to the main lobby of the Sentosa Private Villas & Spas.

At around 5.30 p.m., a resort buggy came by the entrance to our private villa. Gathering all our belongings needed for the evening at Bandar Seminyak Kuta, we hopped onto the buggy, eventually reaching the main resort reception by 5.40 p.m..

Once we were at the reception counter, we asked the concierge for a free cab ride to Bandar Seminyak in the town of Kuta.

At around 5.50 p.m., a man with something like a white van came to the main lobby of the Sentosa Private Villas & Spa. He ushered us into the van and soon, we were on our way to Bandar Seminyak Kuta. The journey lasted for about 10 minutes, eventually arriving at Bandar Seminyak Kuta by 6 o' clock just as the sun was about to set. The driver offered to wait for us and drive us back to our resort.

Once we were in Bandar Seminyak Kuta, the very first thing we did was to go to a restaurant by the name of Made's Warung. We were feeling famished since there was nothing much to do earlier that day. Upon arrival at Made's Warung, we requested a table for the four of us.

As soon as we managed to get a table for the four of us at Made's Warung, the food and beverage menus were distributed to us. To decided on what was best for this evening's dinner at Made's Warung, we made a good review through the food and beverages menus.

After making a good review through the food and beverage menus, a waiter came by to take our dinner orders. We ordered several dishes that seemed pretty good to us. That night, we had dinner at Made's Warung. Dinner at that place was not very bad.

After a sumptuous dinner at Made's Warung cafeteria, we looked around Bandar Seminyak Kuta and did a little shopping around it. There was a kind of small bookshop selling all sorts of books. Night was falling by the time we had finished dinner and started looking around.

After spending the evening at Bandar Seminyak Kuta, we met up with the cab driver who took us to the centre just outside the entrance. With that, as we hopped onto his van, we stowed our belongings in the boot, and we were on our way back to the Sentosa Private Villas & Spa at 7.20 p.m., eventually arriving back at the main lobby 10 minutes later.

Upon arrival at the main lobby at 7.30 p.m., we boarded a resort buggy back our Villa No. 45. For the rest of the night, we did our own free stuff in the main hut. We also managed to fix up some supper later that night.

By around 1 or 2 o' clock later that night, we realised that it was already getting late. We then put all the lights out and headed to bed, as we had another day of explorations to come.

Part 2 ~ Bali Safari & Marine Park and the Reptile Park

The next morning, which was Saturday (18 June), we woke up at around 8.30 a.m.. The very first thing we did after we had a shower to commence the day was to call the in-villa dining service for breakfast. We ordered the usual things which we always ate.

At around 9.05 a.m. our breakfasts were finally brought to us. The sausage I ate tasted quite sour and funny. After breakfast, we called the resort buggy service to come and fetch us to the main resort lobby at 10.25 a.m., after our breakfast plates were cleared away.

At around 10.20 a.m., a villa buggy arrived at the doorstep to our villa. As soon as we hopped onto the buggy, we were on our way towards the main lobby of the resort, eventually arriving at the lobby at 10.25 a.m.. We even met up with my Japanese tutor, Miss Yasuda, in the lobby.

With that, we arranged for To Day to take us to the Bali Safari & Marine Park and the Reptile Park. To Day then arrived at the lobby with his cab at around 10.35 a.m.. With that, we all hopped on board To Day's cab and we were on our way to our first destination, the Bali Safari & Marine Park. The journey towards the Bali Safari & Marine Park took approximately an hour.

After approximately an hour from the Sentosa Private Villas & Spa, we finally arrived at the main entrance to the Bali Safari & Marine Park at 11.40 a.m.. To Day also obliged to spend the day with us at the safari park.

With that, we went to the ticket booth to purchase our one-day tickets for the Bali Safari & Marine Park. At the main entrance to the safari park, there were lots of people, both locals and tourists, crowding at the main entrance to visit the park as well. I even met my Japanese tutor, Miss Yasuda, at the entrance.

After we had purchased our one-day passes for the Bali Safari and Marine Park, we went towards the free safari bus station, which was located just by the main entrance to the safari park. Once we were in the park, we went to the tourist information booth to get some maps of the Bali Safari and Marine Park.
Obtaining the maps and having all our personal necessities for the day, we went to the queuing area for the free safari bus to roll up for the bus ride.

After lining up on the safari bus station for a few minutes, a Bali Safari & Marine Park safari bus finally arrived at the platform at 12.15 p.m.. Once the doors were opened, we rolled up to board and were seated on board within just a few seconds.

Soon, we ventured deeper into the animal park towards the areas where all the animals were located.

As soon as we arrived at the inner portion of the Bali Safari & Marine Park by 12.20 p.m., we alighted the safari bus and went further down the park to look at some fishes. Most of the enclosures at the park had quite a lot of interesting creatures to see. Such creatures included leopards and fishes.
